The P4 community is excited to open applications for its Ambassador cohort! We are looking for a group of dedicated community leaders who will foster growth, drive technical contributions, and uphold the values of the P4 ecosystem.

P4 Ambassador Program Lead
To lead this group, the Governing Board and Technical Steering Committee have recruited an Ambassador Program Lead. We are excited to announce that Davide Scano has volunteered to serve in this capacity.
Davide has consistently demonstrated high engagement in the P4 community, a passion for P4, and a willingness to help organize and facilitate P4 momentum across a broad range of events and topics. Davide currently hosts the P4 Developer Day events and helps lead the organization of the P4 Google Summer of Code (GSoC) Initiative. As the P4 Ambassador Program Lead, Davide will be able to continue to help grow the P4 ecosystem and community.

What does it mean to be a P4 Ambassador?
The goal of the P4 Ambassador Program is to empower and grow the P4 community across the globe. Ambassadors encourage the education, advancement, and adoption of P4 in new and existing industries and demographics.
P4 Ambassadors will be empowered to:
- organize P4 community events (virtual or in person)
- contribute blogs posts for P4.org
- participate in events on behalf of P4 (such as working at a P4 booth or giving a talk).
P4 Ambassadors are also expected to promote P4 news and events via social channels, as well as identify, encourage, and welcome new contributors and community members.
P4 Ambassadors are the face of P4 and are expected to uphold a welcoming and inclusive attitude that reflects the Linux Foundation Code of Conduct.
Why would I want to be a P4 Ambassador?
Key benefits of joining the program include:
- P4 Ambassador Credly Badge: Your advocacy efforts will be officially recognized with a formal badge for use on social media, websites, etc.
- P4 Profile: You will be featured on the P4.org Ambassador page.
- Expanded Representation: You will be a key part of increasing P4’s visibility at external events.
- Content and Contribution Advocacy: You’ll play a vital role in generating technical content, educating and attracting new contributors to P4.
- Vibrant Community Building: By engaging with diverse local talent, you will be part of the team helping to foster a more inclusive and dynamic community within P4.
- P4 Swag: P4-branded swag (such as stickers, shirts, etc.) for Ambassador events and outreach may be requested or reimbursed (upon approval).
Who can apply?
Anyone and everyone over the age of 18 who is passionate about P4 and can show previous contributions to our community.
