P4 is excited to announce Aaron A. Glenn as the project’s new Ecosystem Lead. In this role, Aaron will grow the P4 community, drive industry adoption of the language, and help evolve the P4 specification alongside the P4 Governing Board, Technical Steering Team (TST), and Working Groups.
Aaron brings more than 20 years of hands-on networking experience spanning field engineering, architecture, and executive leadership at organizations including Equinix Inc. and boutique telecom advisory Predicted Paths BV. Most recently a Distinguished Engineer at Equinix, he led network software and packet platform architecture work. As Managing Director of Predicted Paths BV, he helped launch an open-source Provider Edge routing project for Packet Clearing House on Intel’s programmable Tofino ASIC.
Additionally, he has been an invited researcher at Cambridge University, studying packet processing on FPGA accelerators, and at Cornell University, working on formal verification of P4 programs. Aaron has also long been one of P4’s most visible advocates, giving in-depth talks promoting the language at premier network operator venues such as RIPE, DENOG (German Network Operators Group), and the Packet Pushers podcasts.
Aaron said:
“After eight years of being a notorious proponent of the P4 language in network operational roles, I am excited to formally join the P4 association in expanding both the mind share and production usage of the language in software-defined networking solutions.”
Meet Aaron at the 2026 P4 Workshop in Silicon Valley on October 12. Register before Oct 5 to attend.
