Keynote: Fast, Flexible, and Intelligent AI-Native Networks
Muhammad Shahbaz is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the University of Michigan. His research focuses on designing domain-specific performance abstractions, compilers, and architectures for emerging workloads, including machine learning, intelligent networks, serverless and edge computing, and 5G. Prior to joining Michigan, Shahbaz was an Assistant Professor at Purdue University. He completed his postdoctoral research at Stanford University and earned his Ph.D. from Princeton University.
Across academia and industry, Shahbaz has designed and built widely used open source systems, including NetFPGA-10G, Pisces, SDX, and Taurus. His research and systems contributions have been recognized with numerous awards and honors throughout his career. Read more
